I have a potted Meyer Lemon tree. When it has lost leaves, I've put them in the pot. Now, it looks like some of the leaves are molding. Is this ok, or should I keep the leaves out of the pot?

HI Lillian-
Yes, you need to plug your Sensor back into your computer to set your mode. Use the Dashboard to set the mode.
Congrats on your new EasyBloom!

Hi Robin-
Your updates for November will come on November 1st. Every month, based on your location and your plants, we'll send you a personalized alert. So every month around the 1st, you should be up to date! Make sure that you have plants@plantsense.com in your address book so that the Alert doesn't get marked as "Spam".
I was in Boston last weekend for a wedding--New England is gorgeous in the fall!
Happy gardening-
Edith

We recommend you monitor a plant from watering it thoroughly, inserting the Sensor into the soil, until the EasyBloom CHIRPS that the plant needs water. Depending on the plant, this is between 3 days to 2 weeks.
In normal use, a battery will last around four to six months.

Hi James-
I'm glad you're enjoying your EasyBloom!
1) You can add a plant anytime by pushing the "+" next to the plant. Once it's in your MyPlants, you can change it to "I want this" or "I tried this". Look at http://www.easybloom.com/promo/whatsnew.html for some screenshots.
2) We use the largest size photo we have from the source (grower or National Gardening Association). If you have a larger size photo, we would LOOOVE to use it--just email to plants @ plantsense.com
Thanks!
Edith

HI David--EasyBloom uses USDA zones (read more here: http://easybloom.com/learn/faqs.html#25) I strongly suspect your local building department is using "Sunset zones", which are proprietary to Sunset (& used in places on the West Coast).
Where are you located? I am in 8b (San Francisco)

HI Melissa-
Your question is answered in another thread "Rainproof?"
http://easybloom.com/sfSimpleForum/topic/id/86/stripped_title/rainproof
Here's what Robby said before "The EasyBloom Plant Sensor can definitely be left out in the rain. As long as the sensor is not left out in torrential downpour or thrown in a puddle or pool, it will be fine. The sensor is water resistant, but I would not say that it is waterproof or rainproof. I have let the sensor outside when it rained overnight. The next day I uploaded the data. It was cool to see the data graphs show the soil moisture and relative humidity shoot up. I hope this is helpful. --Robby"
