Is there any plans to make the Easy Bloom read PH?

It would be great to get much more soil info besides drainage -- like nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content -- to see if we are using the proper fertilizer for a plant. For example, my bougainvillea has tremendous foliage and no flowers. So I plug in EasyBloom to see if the soil is ok, and all I get is drainage info on the soil. My guess is that the soil is nitrogen-rich, but I may never know.....

These are great ideas, thanks for sharing with us! What do you currently use for measuring nitrogen content?

That is so funny! When I got my consumer survey from EasyBloom, this is exactly what I suggested! A pH indicator would make this little gadget my most important gardening tool!
As I understand it, most quality PH readers cost over $100 dollars. I would have no problem paying $150 for an "EasyBloom II" that monitors light, moisture, and PH levels. And I'm not talking acidity.. give us NPK!!! Pretty please, with cherries on top. :)

HI Christopher What do you currently use to measure NPK? Thanks Edith
I'm using the Ferry Morse Soil Test Kit. The ones that go for $3-$4 at the local garden store and comes with PH and the NPK pills inside small plastic vials. I also have the Ferry Morse Electronic Soil Tester Analyzer which I picked up for $15-$20. It looks like a small black box with two metal prongs.
Or at the very least (because NPK might be to difficult) if all the EasyBoom could do was display a High, Medium, and Low fertility read out, the online software could log & display a graph showing the levels over the course of a full season. While it wouldn't be much more advanced then the $15 electronic soil tester, it would be a lot more useful when displayed along side the rest of the data. -- and by the way, thank you Edith for replying so quickly. Its nice seeing you and Robby being active in these forums. :)

HI Christopher- How happy are you with the results from Ferry? How many plants are you monitoring? Also, how often do you amend your soil for pH? Do you NEED to know it, or is mainly that you like knowing it? Thanks for the thanks to Robby--we work at PlantSense :)

Hi Edith - The Ferry soil test kit does a fair job, considering the lack of options. The trouble with it is the liquified soil has to be matched against a chart, and its easy to second guess the results if your lighting isn't ideal. I've given up on the electronic one, it's pretty much junk. I just got the EasyBloom plant sensor, so I've only tested it in a few places, just getting recommendations and using the site to make a list of seeds I want to buy.
