The word Saxifraga is derived from Latin terms "saxum" and "frangere", meaning rock and to break, respectively. This is a reference to how many species in this genus have the ability to grow amongst the cracks of rocks.
Saxifraga x arendsii Touran™ Neon Rose has an excellent growth habit and grows very well in partially shaded rock gardens. Touran™ Neon Rose requires a cool moist location. It begins flowering in early spring and has a long bloom time. Saxifragas dislikes drought and hot humid environments.
